ZUG (18 February, 2018) — The DAV Foundation is pleased to announce that United Parcel Service’s Director of Autonomous Systems, Jerome Ferguson, has joined them as a new member of its advisory board.
CEO and Founder of the DAV Foundation, Noam Copel, said “Jerome’s wealth of experience and knowledge in the autonomous systems space is a godsend to our Foundation. His intimate grasp of the intricacies surrounding logistics with autonomous delivery will be invaluable to us going forward.”
Mr. Ferguson leads a highly technical portfolio at UPS which includes the application of UAVs, driverless vehicles and robots in supply chains. He has 31 years of experience at UPS, and is a top expert in logistics and emerging technologies. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers and Information Technology Management from NJIT.
The DAV Foundation has assembled a core operations team of professionals to accomplish the project’s long-term goals, with distinguished experts such as Mr. Ferguson providing advice and strategic perspective. Other leading experts will be announced as additions to the DAV team in the coming weeks.
