TEL AVIV (30 January, 2018) — The DAV Foundation is pleased to announce a new addition to their advisory board: Ethereum core developer Dr. Greg Colvin.
“The addition of Dr. Colvin to our advisory board further bolsters the depth and breadth of our blockchain engineering knowledge,” said Noam Copel, CEO of the DAV Foundation. “Dr. Colvin’s understanding of the nuances in blockchain development, in particular with regard to the Ethereum protocol -- the technology upon which the DAV network is built -- is comprehensive. We are delighted to have him join our team as we push forward with the project.”
Colvin graduated with a doctorate in Quantitative Psychology from Cornell University. He also completed a double major undergraduate in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Colvin’s abilities as a computer scientist earned him accolades in all of the work he performed, up to and including his work as a core developer with the Ethereum Foundation, where he became one of the lead developers for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Colvin today remains at the Ethereum Foundation, devoted to solving EVM optimization problems and other important computing challenges.
“I’m very glad to be aboard with the DAV Foundation,” Colvin remarked. “I think their goals are entirely attainable, and if I can offer some wisdom along the way it would be a pleasure. I also really like their team -- they’re driven, competent and believe deeply in the project, and the good they can do for the world.”
The DAV Foundation has assembled a core operations team of professionals to accomplish the project’s long-term goals, with distinguished experts such as Dr. Colvin providing advice and strategic perspective. Other leading experts will be announced as additions to the DAV team in the coming weeks.
The DAV Foundation’s mission is to promote and support research and development of the DAV network, as well as positioning it as the decentralized autonomous vehicle global standard.
