ZUG (13 February, 2018) — Mr. Alan Messer, ex-Chief Technical Officer of General Motors, has been announced by the DAV Foundation as their latest addition to the advisory board.
“Alan brings vast industry perspective and knowledge to the Foundation in the autonomous vehicle space, so it would be an understatement to say I was excited to have him join us,” said Noam Copel, DAV’s CEO and Founder. “His work with General Motors is directly relevant to our work at DAV. I very much look forward to working with him on solving the larger challenges we face in this space.”
Messer brings his broad and deep technological expertise in machine learning, big data and distributed systems to DAV. He was previously engaged by Sony, Hewlett-Packard and Samsung where he worked on the first digital televisions, the first cloud-computing systems and the first IoT devices respectively. His role at General Motors was specific to the Global Connected Consumer Experience project.
The DAV Foundation has assembled a core operations team of professionals to accomplish the project’s long-term goals, with distinguished experts such as Mr. Messer providing advice and strategic perspective. Other leading experts will be announced as additions to the DAV team in the coming weeks.
